Planet Hulk!
Incredible Hulk: Prelude to Planet Hulk - this is a fairly short little trade paperback especially considering a lot of panels are just art with no text. Took very little time to absorb this. The story seems a bit too expanded, but it is at least an interesting one if somewhat predictable. This explains what Hulk was doing before getting kidnapped to “Planet Hulk”, from Incredible Hulk 88-91. It is worth reading because it ties in directly to Planet Hulk which is fantastic. 7.5/10

Bruce Banner has finally found a semblance of peace. Here, in the isolated interior of Alaska, he hopes to protect the rest of humanity from the Hulk’s never-ending rampage by secluding himself in self-imposed exile. Banner is confident that his plan will work - after all, who would be foolish enough to actually come looking for the Hulk? But when Nick Fury comes calling, you know there’s trouble for someone involved. This story sets up next year’s Planet Hulk event. Collects Incredible Hulk #88-91; Hulk Handbook 2004.
Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk - this over-sized hardback collects that last several issues of Incredible Hulk (92-105) where the big green guy gets sent to another planet. Extremely cool story about how Hulk conquers a very hostile planet. Very gripping, I was never bored for the entire run of about 10 or so issues. This world is harsh but that kind of environment is perfect for the Hulk. Hulk makes a bunch of new enemies and a few friends and all hell breaks lose as the “Worldbreaker” shakes things up. This all ties in directly to the current marvel mini-event, World War Hulk. If you want to know why WWH is happening, you need to read Planet Hulk first. Highly recommended. 9/10

[...] I also recommend reading the Planet Hulk series before reading this. Planet Hulk is available at Amazon in a hard back (really nice one) for like $25-30 and it is a fantastic read, one of the best run of comics I think I’ve ever read (collects a full year of Incredible Hulk #92-105). Greg Pak is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers. Art was really good too. I posted more about this on my blog earlier. [...]
